Shasta County Sheriff's Deputies Investigating Body Found on Stagecoach Road

The Shasta County Sheriff's Office is investigating a body found on Stagecoach Road from an apparent homicide.

SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - The Shasta County Sheriff's Office is investigating a body found on Stagecoach Road from an apparent homicide.

Deputies were dispatched to the 15000 block of Stagecoach Road, Oak Run, around 12:08 p.m. on Thursday due to reports of a man lying face down in a dirt roadway. 

The man was identified as Gregory Donald Galusha, 44, of Oak Run. 

Galusha was pronounced deceased at the scene due to apparent gunshot wounds. 

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit are investigating the incident as a homicide. 

The Shasta County Sheriff's Office said that there is no indication that the general public's safety is at risk at this time.
