REDDING, Calif.-Are you having a hard time going from working parent to now school teachers as well? There’s new help for you as the Shasta County Office of Education is offering a resource for parents.

The office is offering support for parents during this time of distance learning through a program called the “Positive Parenting Program”or “Triple P” group.

It’s both an online and interactive program for parents, providing several tools to help them maintain a more enjoyable family life as distance learning continues.

The program is broken up into two sections, one for children under 12 years old and the other for teenagers.

“Parents need a break. They get tired and may not realize how much stress they’re under, so it would really wise for them to reach out for some new tools, just doing something a little different is great for the kids and parents,” says Deanna Gallagher, who lives in Redding.

The program is free and includes six sessions with limited space available.

Another mostly sunny and hot day for northern California today, quite similar to yesterday. Our weather will begin to change tomorrow, however, as a disturbance brings more clouds, cooler air, and a few showers and thunderstorms.
