According to a spokesperson from the California Department of Justice, defendant was arraigned on misdemeanor charges.

March 23rd will be the hearing on discovery motion. April 9th for the settlement conference.
Monday morning a Shasta County CHP assistant chief will be in court facing charges surrounding a road rage incident with a truck driver.
49-year-old Todd Garr will be arraigned on misdemeanor charges of battery and reckless driving charges filed by the state attorney general's office.
This video taken in July of last year allegedly shows Garr assaulting a truck driver in the middle of Knighton Road just south of Redding.
Garr was off-duty at the time he remains employed by the CHP.
Shasta County district attorney Stephanie Bridgett handed the case over to the attorney general because she has a social relationship with Garr and he is her husband's supervisor.
