Shasta College announces its graduation ceremony will be in-person

Shasta College will have its 71st Commencement in-person for graduates from 2020 and 2021.

REDDING, Calif. - Shasta College will hold the 71st Commencement ceremony in-person on May 21, according to Shasta College.

The ceremony will take place at the Shasta College Memorial Stadium for graduates from 2020 and 2021.

Graduates have received sign-up information and a link where they can request access.

Due to COVID-19, the college will have limited seating capacity and will limit the number of faculty and staff at the ceremony.

Graduates will be allowed to invite two guests to attend the ceremony in person and Shasta College is working on a Livestream for those who will not attend.

Shasta College will follow social distancing guidelines and will require everyone at the ceremony to wear a mask while on district property.

The college is confirming more details about the ceremony and anticipates some details to change. Shasta College will continue to communicate with graduates as more details become available.
