Shasta County Sheriff's Office says scammers are calling people and pretending to be one of their deputies

SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - Shasta County Sheriff's Office says scammers are calling people and pretending to be one of their deputies.

The scammers then direct victims to call another number which has yet another scammer that is operating.

The Shasta County Sheriff's Office is warning people to not fall for this scam but to write down the number and call their office to report the incident.
