Shasta Co. Sheriff's Office IDs body found in Sacramento River

Braz's family has been notified and an autopsy has been scheduled.

ANDERSON, Calif. - The Shasta County Sheriff's Office said 58-year-old William Braz of Junction City has been identified as the body found in the Sacramento River on April 10.

Around 10:30 a.m., investigators, and the county's Boating Safety Unit, were called to the 3300 block of Riverside Drive in Anderson about a body found in the river.

Braz's family has been notified and an autopsy has been scheduled.

Officials say there were no signs of foul play but the Anderson Police Department is investigating and working to find out what happened.
