ANDERSON, Calif. – Early Sunday an Anderson police officer stopped a driver on North Street and arrested him. The man was a convicted sex offender who was carrying cannabis, methamphetamine, and cash, according to the Anderson Police Depatment.
The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at approximately 4 a.m. Sunday. The officer arrested 33-year-old Joshua Elvers, a man the officer knew was currently on probation and with warrants out for his arrest.
The officer said three ounces of methamphetamine, approximately two pounds of cannabis, ammunition, and more than $2,000 in cash were in the vehicle along with Elvers.
Charges include those represented by the outstanding warrants. In addition, Elvers was charged with possession and transportation of the methamphetamine and the cannabis for sales, for being a felon in possession of ammunition, and a charge for violating his probation.
