CHICO, Calif. - Chico Police officers spent Saturday searching for Brain Henson after receiving a call from his father.

Henson, 27, is barred by a criminal protective order from coming within 155 yards of his father or his father's home.

Henson's father said Sunday around 8:43 a.m. he came to the property in the 1100 block of Wisconsin Street in Chico, a violation of the protective order.

Witnesses accuse Henson of kicking a dog on the property. Officers said that dog did not have serious injuries.

Authorities searched for Henson throughout the day, finding him later that evening underneath the Boucher Street Bridge at Little Chico Creek.

Henson faces charges for Violation of a Criminal Protective Order, Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Animal Cruelty and Violation of Parole.

Thankfully, the wind is cooperating much better today in northern California. Our weather is still quite hot for this time of year and very dry. There is plenty of haze and smoke from the Fawn Fire overhead, and it isn't leaving yet.
