SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - Carr Fire survivors in Shasta County are taking part in a new art exhibit.

The organization "Art From The Ashes" was created in partnership with Whiskeytown National Recreation Area and is called "Seeds of Regrowth".

The exhibit features more than 90 works by mostly Shasta County artists and is inspired by materials reclaimed from areas burned by the 2018 Carr Fire.

Included in the exhibit is a fire science area by the forest service.

You can see the art from October 12th to November 15th in Downtown Redding's Cultural District in the Old City Hall.

It's been a warm and windy day for northern California with isolated showers breaking out over the higher terrain. We aren't done with the windy weather quite yet, but a quieter and warmer pattern is coming soon.
