Search warrant results in deputies locating 3 handguns, arresting 1

Yuba County deputies located three handguns while serving a search warrant as part of an ongoing investigation for a drive-by shooting Sunday.

OLIVEHURST, Calif. - One person was arrested for multiple weapon charges when deputies served a search warrant on Monday, Yuba County Sheriff’s Department said.

Deputies served a search warrant in the 4700 block of Arboga Road on Monday as part of an ongoing investigation into a drive-by shooting that happened on Sunday at the 1800 block of Beverly Ave. in Olivehurst.

There were no injuries in the shooting but an occupied residence and vehicle were hit during the incident.

Deputies located 23-year-old Jorge SotoMayor-Sanchez and three handguns.

SotoMayor-Sanchez was arrested and booked into the Yuba County Jail with a bail of $25,000.
