UPDATE 2:20 p.m. - Butte County Sheriff's Deputies say an alert community member helped them capture an escape from the County Jail. he was spotted at the Chevron Gas Station on 3rd Street in Oroville, and that's where Deputies made the arrest.
Detectives also announced the arrest of 29-year-old Megan Margetts of Chico, who they say communicated with Michael Berry by phone before his escape. They say they found evidence she was aware he was going to try to escape and traveled to Oroville to pick him up. She was initially arrested around 2 a.m. near the Butte County Courthouse in Oroville for possessing narcotics paraphernalia. Now, she also faces a felony count of conspiracy.

UPDATE 10:22 a.m. - Butte County Sheriff's Officials say an inmate who escaped from the County Jail early Monday morning is back in custody. Action News Now is working to learn more information about how he was captured.
OROVILLE, CALIF. - Butte County Sheriff's Deputies are searching for an inmate who escaped from the Butte County Jail in Oroville early Monday morning.
Sheriff's officials say it happened around 12:30 a.m., while correctional officers were conducting a check of inmates in the minimum security dorm of the Jail. They say 29-year-old Michael Berry of Chico was able to slip past an open door.
Investigators say he was spotted by staff on surveillance systems when he scaled a fence to escape.
Berry is now wanted on an arrest warrant, on a felony charge of escaping from a custodial facility. He was arrested on January 11th on a felony burglary charge.
