REDDING, Calif. - The Salvation Army has been feeding many of the evacuees displaced by the Carr Fire at Shasta College.

Timothy Danielson, captain of Salvation Army in Redding, said that they have provided thousands of meals over the past two days.

They are also accepting donations for evacuees in the form of new clothing, cleaning items, food, etc.

The Salvation Army asks that donations be dropped off at their 2691 Larkspur Lane, Redding location. Please do not drop them off at Shasta College as they will not be able to distribute them as easily.

It's been another hot and smoky day for the valley of northern California, with showers and thunderstorms once again popping up over our mountains. It will quiet down tonight with more hot, active weather tomorrow.
