WILLOWS, Calif. – A Sacramento man was arrested after Glenn County Sheriff’s deputies say he set a church building on fire Sunday in Willows.
Willows Fire Personnel responded to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church, on Sunday, Jan. 17. A large amount of smoke was seen coming from the vents on the north side of the church, as well as a broken window, according to deputies.
Deputies say 35-year-old Randy Louis White of Sacramento, admitted to breaking the window, entering the church, and purposely setting fire to the building. White was arrested and booked into the Glenn County Jail with a bail set at $200,000.
Deputies say during the fire they contacted the Company Nurse due to smoke inhalation. However, they did not require any further medical attention.
