JOHNSON PARK, Calif. - Shasta County deputies arrested a man for threatening to shoot near a Burney mobile home park early Thursday morning.
Sergeant Konen tells Action News Now, dispatch received calls after 2 a.m. regarding a man yelling outside Shasta Mobile Estates on 38273 Highway 299 E.
Neighbors told deputies a man was yelling outside and claiming he was going to shoot his gun.
When deputies arrived, they found a man in his 30s carrying a replica handgun.
That man was quickly taken into custody without incident. There are no reports of injuries.
Authorities are booking the suspect to the county jail. The man faces charges of brandishing a firearm and making criminal threats.
No word yet if the man has a mental illness or if alcohol or drugs played a factor.
