CHICO, Calif. - A North State man was arrested after police said a routine vehicle stop led to the discovery of meth.
Chico police said they arrested 37-year-old Ricardo Castrejon after a vehicle stop in the area of Esplanade and Lassen Ave. at 1:50 a.m. on Nov. 9.
They said K-9 officer Aaron sniffed out narcotics during ascent search outside the vehicle.
Officers said they found drug paraphernalia in the car and meth on the driver. The search resulted in the discovery of 7.54 grams of meth, Officers said.
K9 Aron will be rewarded for his hard work and dedication to this community with a second scoop of dog food for dinner, Chico police said.
Castrejon was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Paraphernalia. He was booked for these offenses and transported to Butte County Jail, he has since been released.
