Chico Calif.—Two people were hospitalized Tuesday after a two car crash left one vehicle on its roof.

The crash happened at the Highway 99 off ramp at Highway 32 just before 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators say that a Toyota pickup was heading east on Highway 32 when the driver ran a red light and clipped a small SUV that was exiting the freeway.

The man driving the SUV and his two young granddaughters who were passengers were not injured in the crash.

The woman driving the small pickup lost control of the vehicle and it rolled.

Chico Police say they have seen many similar wrecks at that some location.

The woman who police say ran the red light and her passenger were taken to Enloe with non-life threatening injuries.

Chico Police had the scene cleared in about an hour.
