Robbery, assault suspect arrested by Chico Police

Chico Police arrested a man who allegedly robbed a person with a firearm on Sunday night.

CHICO, Calif. - A man was arrested for robbery, vandalism, assault and battery on Sunday after police received reports of a robbery, Chico Police Department said.

Police responded to the area of 100 Wildwood Ave. around 11:36 p.m.

When they received information a subject robbed his friend in the parking lot of Wildwood Park.

Authorities said the suspect stole property from the victim and threatened the victim with a handgun.

The victim gave the suspect his belongings out of fear as the suspect took off from the area on foot.

Officers arrived and located Miguel Rodriguez, 26, but was not able to find a firearm.

Rodriguez was taken to the Butte County Jail.
