OROVILLE, Calif. -- Riverbend Beach, in Oroville, reopened with a variety of new amenity upgrades.
Park goers can now come to this newly renovated beach at Riverbend Park after completing its first week.
Feather River Recreation and Parks District put in new sand leading directly to Feather River, but that’s not all.
this beach is ten times what it was before. we’ve got more amenities, more picnic tables, and barbecues and it’s just a higher grade sand, it’s real nice and deep and it’s more beautiful," said Feather River Recreation and Parks District Board Chairman Kent Fowler
Riverbend park is also building a new amphitheater that's expected to be completed by the fall.
A river cleanup was set for tomorrow, but restrictions with large gatherings by the state forced the cleanup to be postponed indefinitely.
