ICYMI: Police Say Rite Aid Pharmacy Robberies in Chico and Redding Are Related

UPDATE: Redding Police confirmed the Redding Rite Aid robbery is connected to the Chico Rite Aid robbery that happened one week ago. The suspects are still at large.

UPDATE 1:17 p.m. 02/02/19 -- Redding Police confirmed the Redding Rite Aid robbery is connected to the Chico Rite Aid robbery that happened one week ago. The suspects are still at large. Police do not think the suspects pose a threat to the public.

Police said one of the suspects has been identified, but they are withholding that information at this time.

Police said the identified suspect has not had any prior criminal history with the Redding Police Department. The men are believed to be from the Sacramento area. The suspects fled the Redding Rite Aid in an unknown make and model, dark-colored sedan with alloy wheels.

Redding, Calif.-- Redding Police responded to a call at 5:48 pm to the Rite Aid Pharmacy off Cypress Avenue in Redding.  Police say several officers arrived within minutes however the suspects were gone. 

Witnesses told police that both suspects entered Rite Aid and went to the pharmacy area. Both jumped the counter and forced employees to give them pharmaceuticals and cash. 

Police say both men were seen running south away from the business. Based on surveillance from neighboring businesses, the suspects were able to get away in a vehicle nearby.
