Retired train car burst into flames in Oroville

The Oroville Fire Department responded to an early morning report of a retired train car that mysteriously burst into flames. They say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

OROVILLE, Calif. - Early this morning around 3 a.m. Oroville Fire responded to a report of a commercial structure fire on the corner of High Street and Oliver Street.

Officials say that upon arrival, crews found a fully involved retired train car next to the old Depot. Engine 1 and Truck 1 quickly got the fire under control and damage was limited to the train car.

The Oroville Fire Department says there were no injuries and the fire is still under investigation.
