Retired Trinity County Sergeant passes away

Omar Brown served 19 years with the Trinity County Sheriff's Office.

Trinity County Sheriff's Office remembers retired Sergeant who passed away this week.

TRINITY COUNTY, Calif. - Trinity County Sheriff’s Office announces the passing of retired Sergeant Omar Brown.

Brown spent 19 years with the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office where he investigated drug crimes, and trained Deputies and Officers while working with the Narcotics Task Force.

Prior to his time with the Trinity Sheriff’s Office, Brown served four years in the United States Army with The Old Guard in Washington D.C.

After serving his time with the military, Brown started his law enforcement career in Louisiana with the Lake Charles Police. During his 10 years in Louisiana, he rose to the ranking of a Lieutenant.

After retiring with the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office, Brown served two years at the Trinity Superior Court Marshal’s Office.

In Trinity County, Brown was known for his sense of humor and knowledge of the job.

Brown leaves behind a daughter, sister, and friends.
