CALIFORNIA - The California Foundation for Independent Living Centers announced late Monday afternoon that they expect Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) to occur in Northern California counties on Monday night, and in Southern California counties on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

The organization is coordinating with twenty local Independent Living Center (ILCs) to deliver support for disabled citizens. Services include personal emergency preparedness support, assistance with Medical Baseline and local emergency alert enrollment, trainings on a series of disaster and related topics, help with the assessment of needs, and additional assistance during emergencies based on the resources that are available.

"It is critical that people with disabilities are provided early alerts, disaster readiness support, and assistance during these events," said Christina N. Mills, Executive Director of the CFILC.

Lighter winds and mostly mild conditions are on the way for your Wednesday. We'll see cloudy skies and cooler temperatures on Thursday, and then a bigger drop in temperatures and showers on Friday. More wet weather looks likely from Sunday afternoon through early next week.
