Residential Fire in Redding Quickly extinguished by Fire Crews

According to Redding Fire Department firefighters are working on a 2-alarm structure fire at the 2000 block of North Street.

Redding, Calif.—According to Redding Fire Department firefighters are working on a 2-alarm structure fire at the 2000 block of North Street.


All on-duty resources have been called out to the fire.

The fire broke out just after 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon near down town Redding.

With all of the fire crews on duty, the fire was under control quickly.

The fire was in a residential area within close proximity to many other homes.

The fire was in an out building off of the main house, possibly a sun room. 

A portion of North Street is still closed at this time while firefighters clean up the fire.

Fire officials have not released the cause of the fire.
