CALIFORNIA - The house is set to vote on two separate articles of impeachment. Action News Now reached out to District One Congressman, Republican Doug LaMalfa to hear his thoughts on Wednesday's hearing.

He said, “Today’s impeachment vote is everything the founders warned us about over 200 years ago. The democrats have yet to prove a crime, they dont even know what crime to with these impeachment articles. It has been basically a witch hunt as long as the president has been in the white house. They have not called witnesses, they don't want to call our witnesses on the republican side. so really, what kind of due process has there been? We have had a poor process. It has been unconstitutional and has not upheld the values of the people of this country. The founding values. And it's one that hopefully will never be duplicated again.”

The welcome relief of showers will be with us this evening! They will continue to push through most places in the valley. Some places may not see some rain given their proximity to the mountains and the effects of a rain shadow
