Reopening California: Events happening across local counties

As California reopens and drops most of its COVID-19 restrictions, here is a list of events happening in the local counties after June 15.

On Tuesday, California reopened and dropped most of its COVID-19 restrictions. Here is a list of events happening across the local counties. 

Butte County:

Friday Night Concerts

Friday Night Concerts are happening in downtown Chico every Friday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The concerts will be at the Chico City Plaza as the last concert will be on Sept. 17.

Party in the Park

The Paradise Ridge Chamber of Commerce announced the return of of Party in the Park Music and Marketplace, which is a seasonal tradition of local pride and community vitality in Paradise. The event includes a Farmers' Market, Kids' Zone, talented bands and performers, arts, crafts, and local organizations. Click here for more information. 

Shasta County: 

Shasta District Fair and Event Center

The four-day event will feature livestock exhibits, arts and crafts, carnival and live entertainment. The fair begins Wednesday, June 23 at noon and will be at 1890 Briggs St. in Anderson. Click here to get tickets and more information.

Tehama County:

"Come as you are" Pride Festival

The community of Red Bluff's is invited to the first Pride Festival which will be featuring booths, vendors, a cornhole tournament, arts and crafts, resources and entertainment. Presale tickets are $40 and tickets are $50 at the door. The event will be Saturday, June 26 from noon to 8 p.m. Click here to get more information.

Ice Cube with Special Guest

Ice Cube, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Kurupt will be performing at the Rolling Hills Casino Amphitheater on July 18 at 8 p.m., doors open at 6 p.m. Ticket prices range from $40 to $150. Click here to get tickets.

Orland Cars N Coffee

A Group of Car Owners will get together and have Coffee once a month in Orland. Meet other car enthusiasts, chat, show off their cars and have some coffee! They meet every third Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at South Street Deli and Grill.

Weaverville Farmers’ Market

Alturas Certified Farmers' Market

The farmers market is every other Saturday from June to October. The market is from 9 a.m. to noon in Alturas.

Surprise Valley Farmers' Market

The farmers market is every other Saturday from June to October. The market is from 9 a.m. to noon at Bonner St and Main St in Cedarville.

Story Time Modoc County Library

Every Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. parents and caregivers can accompany their infants, toddlers and preschoolers for stories and activities. Click here for more information.
