CHICO, Calif. - A grandfather and grandson built their own recreation of the honey run bridge to show some joy with their community.

Brodie Way and grandson Jamie Smith used scrap wood to recreate the bridge and the memories from their years on the ridge.

They are talking with the Honey Run Bridge Historical Society to find a place to share their work with the community.

Light scattered showers are on tap for the start of your Thursday, and I'm tracking heavier rain ahead from Thursday afternoon through mid day Friday. We'll have a lull in our wet pattern late Friday through early Saturday, but even heavier rain and snow will return this weekend and persist into next week. Major travel impacts will be possible across northern California from this wet weather.
