Officers from the Redding Police Department said Dorman admitted that she was the person in the widely circulated photograph taken from surveillance video.

Dorman told officers she stabbed the victim twice in the area of his neck because she thought he was going to drop an 18 pack of beer on her foot, and said the man acted like he was going to punch her.

The victim has been identified as 43-year-old Christopher Fitch of Redding. He received multiple stab wounds to his upper back near his neck.

Dorman told police after the stabbing she fled from the area, disposed of the knife, the bicycle she was riding. She told officers that she did not make any effort to contact law enforcement or to summon medical aid for the victim.
