Redding police are offering $10,000 for information leading to an arrest

Redding Police Department is offering money for information leading to an arrest and/or conviction of the suspect in regards to the death of Edwin Phillips.

REDDING, Calif. - On Aug. 17, 2016, officers received a call of shots fired in the area of 3032 Bechellie Lane, in Redding. Officers arrived discovered 67-year-old, Edwin Phillips of Redding suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Phillips was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators later obtained video surveillance from a nearby business that showed Phillips entering with an unknown subject and exiting a short time later, just prior to the shooting.

The subject appears to be of large stature and was wearing long, baggy shorts and possibly a tank top at the time.

Redding Police Department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest or conviction of the suspect in regards to the death of Edwin Phillips.
