REDDING, Calif. - The Neighborhood Police Unit (NPU) is out conducting patrols to provide enhanced public safety in Redding during the holiday shopping season.

The NPU and the Traffic Unit of the Redding Police Department are using police vehicles, motorcycles, and electric bicycles during their patrol and enforcement efforts.

The NPU is going to be patrolling and proactive at area shopping centers this season in order to deter vehicle thefts.
