Redding police arrest suspected prowler

Police used pepper spray and a taser to arrest a suspected prowler in Redding early Friday morning.

REDDING, Calif. - Police used pepper spray and a taser to arrest a suspected prowler in Redding early Friday morning. 

The incident started just before 1 a.m. Friday morning. 

An officer said they were on patrol in the area of the White Hawk Estates Subdivision when they saw a man, later identified as Richard Siscogreendale, acting suspiciously.

Siscogreendale took off and tried to hide near a home and then fought with the officer before being arrested, according to authorities.

Police said he carried burglary tools and was on post-release community supervision.

Siscogreendale is now facing multiple charges including prowling and resisting arrest.
