REDDING, Calif. - A man was arrested on Jan. 28 after Redding Police say they saw his "suspicious" vehicle parked.

Parked at Starbucks on Churn Creek Road, officials say Eduardo Ruiz admitted to officers he had a firearm in the car around 11 p.m.

During a search, a semi-automatic 9mm handgun was located and officials say they also found a glass smoking pipe.

23-year-old Ruiz was arrested and a small baggie of meth was found in his sock, according to officials.

Ruiz was booked into the Shasta County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance while possessing a firearm. His bail is set for $25,000.
