REDDING, Calif. - Redding Rodeo Week brings a lot of money to the community thanks to attendees.

For those who attend the rodeo, they spend their money throughout the city.

"All the ubers and taxis, the bars, the restaurants, the gas stations, they all benefit from this," said John Growney, a stock contractor from the rodeo. "So, it's a huge impact on this community."

Those who come for the rodeo have to stay somewhere and those who work at the Sheraton say this week is fun for them.

"A lot of them come in dressed in the attire. Whether it's raining or not, they're ready with their plaid and kicking boots," said Debbie Chimenti of the Sheraton. "It is a fun week."

Chimenti told Action News Now the week of the rodeo is a good way for the hotel to get guest and keep them coming back.

The restaurants around the city are getting more people as well.

"I think it just makes it more fun for us," said James Vereb from the Mosaic restaurant. "I think we all come to the kitchen to be able to handle that kind of volume every night and when it comes we get exactly what we are looking for."
