Redding, Calif.—Redding Police arrested a burglary suspect Monday morning they say they caught red handed.
Just before 11 a.m. Monday morning police responded to a report of a residential burglary on the 1100 block of Layton Road.
Witnesses reported seeing this man 28 year old Michael Shankles forcing his way into a home then exit a short time later carrying a large amount of the victims property.
When Officers arrived on scene they saw Shankles trying to run, jumping a fence before officers surrounded him.
Officers said Shankles was already on probation for possession of stolen property.
Shankles was booked into the Shasta County Jail on burglary charges and violation of probation.
