REDDING, Calif. – The Redding Rancheria Tribal Health System will host a COVID-19 vaccination event on Sunday, March 14 to anyone that is 18 or older and lives in Shasta County.
The Redding Ranchera made the announcement Tuesday morning. “The goal of the Redding Rancheria is to make the vaccine available to as many people as possible regardless of age or comorbidity,” Maria Orozco, Sr. Director of Public Relations said.
The vaccine event will be held on March 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Redding Rancheria Tribal Health Center at 1441 Liberty St. in Redding.
The Redding Rancheria confirmed they have 800 doses of the COVID-19 vaccines for the event. They will be administering both Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
“We recognize there is great need in our community and have taken the necessary steps to open up our vaccine program to all residents 18 and over,” Orozco said. “This will allow any resident of Shasta County to have access to the COVID-19 vaccine now instead of waiting several months for their age group to be eligible.”
