REDDING, Calif. – The Redding Rancheria’s Tribal Health System is now offering a mobile COVID-19 vaccination unit.

The tribe said they will focus on restaurant employees in Shasta County. Restaurant owners and managers can also register their business on the Tribal Health Centers website.

Redding Rancheria will send a team of medical professionals to vaccinate their employees at their place of business to help make it easier for their staff.

“We feel this is a simple step in helping keep the community safe while dining locally, as well as helping a workforce that needs additional protection,” Glen Hayward, Executive Director said.

Any employee age 18 and older would be eligible for this free service. Redding Rancheria will be administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccines which allows for one and done immunity.

The first of two storms moved over northern California late last night and this morning, but our weather has quieted for now. More rain showers will fall Saturday, but heavier rain and snow with stronger wind arrives Sunday.
