REDDING, Calif. - Officers in Redding say during the fifth stop at a home on Cameo Court, they arrested one woman, for the second time, on drug charges.

The latest arrest happened on Sept. 3 when officials say with a search warrant, they found several people inside the east Redding home, including 30-year-old Ashley Peterson.

During the search, police say they located over 1/2 ounce of meth, packaging material and drug paraphernalia. Peterson was then booked into the Shasta County Jail for possession of methamphetamine for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers say this is the fifth time the Cameo Court home has been investigated for illegal sales of drugs.

In Feb. of 2019, the department's Neighborhood Police Unit says it first went to the home after receiving multiple complaints about ongoing drug sales.

At that time, a search warrant was served and the two inside the home were arrested for various drug-related charges.

Months later in October, officers say they again responded to the home for a probation search, after again receiving complaints regarding drug sales.

During that search, drug paraphernalia was found and one person was arrested.

In Feb. of 2020, officers went to investigate additional complaints of drug sales. While at the home, they say they found meth and drug paraphernalia. One of the people was located was arrested for sales of meth, maintaining a residence where drugs are being sold and child endangerment.

Finally, in August, officials say they received complaints again regarding ongoing drug sales. A search warrant was served and several people were inside and police say they found over three ounces of methamphetamine, scales and packaging material.

During this August visit, Peterson was booked into the Shasta County Jail for sales of methamphetamine.

"[We] will continue to work with the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office to ensure these drug dealers are held accountable," the department said.
