Redding Police searching for suspect in armed robbery

The cashier told police that a man walked in with a handgun and demanded cash from the register.

Redding Police are searching for a man they say robbed a gas station early Thursday morning.

Police got a call from the cashier of the mini-market of the Valero Station on Churn Creek Road around 2:40 a.m. The cashier told police that a man walked in with a handgun and demanded cash from the register. The cashier complied, and the suspect took off on foot with an unknown amount of cash. He was last seen running towards Alrose Lane, and it's unclear if he left in a car.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Redding Police at 225-4200.
