Redding Police Searching for Stabbing Suspect

Redding Calif.-- Redding Police officers are searching for a suspect after a man was stabbed multiple times Thursday night.

Police responded to the stabbing in the intersection of Mary Street and 8th Street around 9 p.m. Responding officers found a 20 year old man with several stab wounds. The victim told officers he was stabbed by an unknown hispanic man wearing a black sweatshirt.

Officers searched the area with help from a California Highway Patrol Helicopter and a police K9 unit, but the suspect got away. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Redding Police at (530) 225-4200.
