UPDATE: 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2021 - The Redding Police Department said they found a missing Redding woman, Tiala Schmidt, dead in western Shasta County Tuesday morning.
Police said there does not appear to be any signs of foul play. The Shasta County Sheriff's Office will be handling the investigation.
REDDING, Calif. – The Redding Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing at-risk woman.
24-year-old Tiala Schmidt left her family’s home in Redding on Monday, March 1, according to RPD.
She may be driving a white 2019 Nissan Sentra with a California license plate number 8DZS525. Schmidt is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 130 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing a grey T-shirt and blue leggings. She has a large tattoo of an elephant on her left arm. Tiala is considered to be at risk due to her mental health.
