REDDING, Calif. – Three people were arrested after they were found by Redding Police Sunday in a stolen vehicle out of Oregon.
Just before 9 a.m. Sunday, a Redding Police officer was patrolling the parking lot of The Red Lion Hotel on Hilltop Drive, when he noticed a suspicious black Chevrolet Equinox. The vehicle was occupied by several people and parked in a marked parking stall.
Police said a records check revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Jackson County, Oregon.
A loaded handgun was found under the front passenger seat. Along with several pounds of processed marijuana inside the stolen vehicle.
Lincoln Severns, 40, of Red Bluff, Shawn Kelley, 28, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Stacey Kaskey, 42, of Jackson County, OR, were all arrested for various offenses including, vehicle theft, and possession of stolen property.
