REDDING, Calif. - Redding Police arrested a man for assaulting an officer after they stopped to help him on the road.

Police say Barry Fourzon lied to officers about his identity after they stopped him on Cedars Road because his vehicle was blocking a lane.

Fourzon had a loaded semi-automatic firearm in his waistband and officials say he kicked, hit and bit officers during the arrest.
