REDDING, Calif. - Police arrested a Redding man after a crash into a church playground. Police say it happened just before 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Little Country Church on Canby Rd.
Upon arrival, officers say they saw 35-year-old Michael Ramos, of Redding, standing next to a silver Toyota SUV, which had driven over an embankment and crashed into a chain-link fence.
Officers on scene determined Ramos' blood alcohol level to be nearly four times the legal limit for driving. Police say Ramos was on DUI probation and had been arrested three times prior for DUI since February 2019.
Michael Ramos was booked into the Shasta County Jail for driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, driving on a suspended license, and driving while on DUI probation.
