REDDING, Calif. - Police say they have arrested a man in connection to a Nov. 25 shooting at the intersection of Heather Lane and Foxtail Court in Redding.
The shooting happened around 1 a.m., according to officials, and when they arrived, officers found a woman who had a grazed gunshot wound on her arm.
During follow-up by the department's Investigations Division, officials say they positively identified the suspect as Scott Albert McFadden.
Officials say the 40-year-old has a criminal history including felony evading law enforcement, felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, resisting arrest, possession of narcotics and parole violations.
Additionally, McFadden has been arrested in Shasta County 19 times and is on post-release community supervision for felon in possession of a firearm.
On Dec. 5 at 5 p.m., officials say the Neighborhood Police Unit found McFadden at a home on East Cypress Avenue and arrested him.
Booked into the Shasta County Jail, McFadden faces charges of felony assault with a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition and violation of his post-release community supervision probation terms.
