The checkpoint resulted in one arrest for DUI. The man arrested was 36-year-old Robert Moats of Redding.

566 vehicles went through the checkpoint and were screened by the Redding Police Department.

Three drivers were cited for driving on a suspended license, and two for driving without licenses.

Arrests were made of two drivers with outstanding felony warrants, one for a misdemeanor warrant, and the 4th arrest was the one for the DUI.

We began the first full week of August on a slightly cooler note with a lot of high clouds, haze and smoke for most parts of northern California. The high clouds will remain through much of Tuesday, with other changes coming soon.
