REDDING, Calif. - Grocery Outlet in Redding wrapped up a very successful “Independence from Hunger” fundraiser Saturday.

The Grocery Store showcased a food truck with cotton candy, hot dogs and cold drinks all for just $1, and it was completely packed.

“It always amazes me each year it just seems like when you think you've done all that you can do the next year always does more,” said Ron Davis, the owner of the Grocery Outlet in Redding.

All the proceeds from the annual event went towards the Shasta Senior Nutrition and the Salvation Army.

Owners say they’ll continue to raise money all months, with special deals going on in store.
