REDDING, CALIF. - We are getting our first look at the newest members of the Redding Eagles family.
An Easter eaglet peeked over the rim of the nest at Turtle Bay Thursday, and Teri Lhuillier with "Friends of the Redding Eagles" was there to snap some photos.
The baby is believed to have hatched on March 22nd. You can even see it give a big yawn in one of the photos.
"Liberty" is the mother and "Guardian" is the father.
Lhuillier tells us there may be one or two more eaglets in the nest, but it's hard to tell because the nest is so deep and there currently is no nest camera.
Once it's known for sure how many babies there are, the Friends group will hold an Eaglet naming contest.
According to Lhuillier, "This little baby eagle is a symbol of hope for us here in Redding during these trying times!"
