Redding CHP: Man overturns vehicle, arrested for felony DUI

Officials say the driver was wearing a seatbelt but the passenger was not.

REDDING, Calif. - One man was arrested on Monday, April 27 for a felony DUI after Redding CHP said he lost control and overturned his truck.

It happened around noon on Whitmore Road when officials say 53-year-old Vincent David Siaz, for unknown reasons, lost control and overturned his Toyota 4-Runner within the roadway.

The 29-year-old passenger Gino Sauza, had some minor injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital by flight care. Siaz also had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by an ambulance.

Officials say Siaz was wearing a seatbelt but Sauza was not.

Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor to the cause of the crash and CHP says Siaz was arrested for felony DUI.
