RED BLUFF, Calif. - It was an emotional reunion for one Red Bluff woman and her stolen dog this past weekend.

Police surprised owner Nancy Colter with Shiba, her stolen dog.

The dog was stolen, along with her car, nearly one month ago.

The story went viral on social media, and it may have helped people recognize Shiba.

"He says go look in the back window and I said, 'oh my god my dog!'" Colter said. "And I just started crying, 'I got my dog, I got my dog, Shiba's home, she's home.'"

Now that Shiba is back home, Colter said that life can finally return to normal.

We began the first full week of August on a slightly cooler note with a lot of high clouds, haze and smoke for most parts of northern California. The high clouds will remain through much of Tuesday, with other changes coming soon.
