RED BLUFF, Calif. - A young Red Bluff resident battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma received a quad he had wished for with the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Delbert Bellus, 19-years-old, was experiencing cold-like symptoms in October 2019. When antibiotics failed, he went through a series of tests when a mass was discovered around his lungs. Bellus was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
During a parade last July put on by an Adopt-A-Wish sponsor, Nothern Counties Roofing Systems, Bellus received information that his wish for a quad was being granted soon.
Bellus went through rounds of chemo and radiation before he completed his treatment in September before leaving for college in Wyoming.
In December, when he returned home from college for the holidays, his quad arrived.
Bellus plans to take the quad back to college with him where he will be able to ride it to school and use it for fun.
He endured rounds of both chemo and radiation and completed his treatment in time to leave for college last September.
