Red Bluff Police Department releases bodycam footage of officer-involved shooting

The Red Bluff Police Department released its first public video briefing about an officer-involved shooting that killed one person on April 14.

RED BLUFF, Calif. - The Red Bluff Police Department released its first public video briefing about an officer-involved shooting that killed one person on April 14.

This is the department's first public video briefing. These videos are designed to show evidence gathered during investigations, according to Red Bluff Police Chief Kyle Sanders.

The incident started with a 911 call reporting a man who was banging on the doors of a closed business and screaming that he wanted a gun. 

Police believe the suspect in the call was the same man officers killed later that evening.
